The cliche “a picture is worth 1,000 words” really applies when it comes to marketing your home for sale. As a result, home sellers and their real estate agents should avoid bad photos of dirty dishes, stained bathrooms, and overall messy rooms in home listing and real estate photos. Ignore this advice and you could end up in the Listing Photo Nightmare gallery.
1. Butts in the sink
A dirty bathroom sink with cigarette butts is the last image a potential buyer wants to see.
2. A bit of elbow grease needed
Even homebuyers who love the classic movie, The Shining, will run far from this home for sale. A pentagram on the floor and paint sprays across the wall leave you feeling like a crime was committed—and certainly deters all but those with the strongest stomachs to consider buying this abode.
3. No wheezing matter
The sheer amount of mold in this room is terrifying enough.
4. …and here’s the bathroom
Tub? Check. Window? Check. Toilet? Not sure. Nor are we sure certain about that dark stain against those grimy blue walls.
5. Yes. That’s a pig
Blood appears to be staining the floor, while a sleeping pig lies in the corner of the room—neither of which should be present in any house, never mind a house you’re trying to sell.
6. Did the Little Mermaid throw up in this room?
It looks like Ariel from The Little Mermaid along with Flounder, Sebastian, and the rest of the ocean have smashed themselves against these walls and window. In fact, seaweed seems to be overtaking the entire window.
7. Take some steps to clean this floor
Lovely white bathroom and some muddy footprints. Not the best way to showcase the bathroom.
