Zolo Homebase Contributor Guidelines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Are you a passionate, talented writer? Are you an expert in real estate, personal finance, homeownership or renter issues with a desire to share your insight and advice? Then become a contributor to Zolo Homebase and help property owners, renters, sellers and investors make smart, well-educated property decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We believe in the power of sharing \u2014 sharing knowledge, data, passion and experience \u2014 and we’d like to share your passion and expertise with our audience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To increase your chance of being accepted as a guest contributor, please read and follow the eight rules below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8 Rules to Follow as a Guest Contributor to Zolo Homebase Blog <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rule #1:<\/strong> We only post homeowner and renter topics. This can include financial angles, home improvement topics, as well as real estates news and trends (and everything in between). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #2:<\/strong> Don’t duplicate. If we’ve written about this topic on the Zolo Homebase blog, then chances are we’ll reject your article proposal. Of course, if you can provide a unique and relevant angle to the Canadian homeowner, renter or real estate investor, we are happy to consider the article. The aim is to add to the conversation, not repeat what is already in the market. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #3:<\/strong> Minimum 700 words. We immediately delete posts if they aren\u2019t this long (or longer). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #4:<\/strong> Pick a target keyword that gets at least 200 searches per month. You can estimate keyword search volume by using the free Google Keyword Planner Tool<\/a> or use the free tool on Wordstream<\/a>. Be sure to write your article using the target keyword in the first one or two paragraphs and in the article title. This ensures the post has a chance to rank on Google and get traffic for years to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #5:<\/strong> Run your draft through Hemingway<\/a> or Grammarly<\/a> (or both) to ensure readability and correct pronunciation. Note: <\/strong>We use Canadian English (ie: UK-English). Remember, if it\u2019s hard to read we will delete your post<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #6:<\/strong>\u00a0Please format your post so it has headers and relevant links. A good example of the outline\/format we like can be found here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rule #7: <\/strong>Include your bio and a headshot in your post. Skip this and your post will not be considered complete and deleted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
